MathRiders 4-Point Lesson Structure

Each MathRiders lesson includes four distinct aspects of structured learning, adding variety and interest to each class, and holding students' attention.

1. Enrichment Workout

Promoting logic and problem-solving skills, these exercises enable students to explore new mathematical concepts and gain a sharper perspective, while being supported by the encouraging MathRiders teachers and learning environment.

2. Refresher Review

Learning for the long-term is vital, and MathRiders emphasises the review process, making sure that key concepts have been understood and remembered by all students. Going over previously learned material also helps students to feel confident about subjects they have already mastered, and with which they are familiar.

3. Group Learning

MathRiders offers students all the benefits of group learning and cooperation, helping students to help each other. Here are a few opinions from students about this experience:

Peer-Group Support: "I'm happy now that I have so many friends I can ask for help. It wasn't like that in my Maths class at school – I used to feel like I was stupid."

Relaxed Atmosphere: "Right in the middle of doing the work we sometimes stop and tell jokes or something. I feel relaxed, and that makes studying so much easier for me."

Cooperative Learning: "When I hear someone else ask a question or the teacher explain a problem to them, it really helps me understand it better. We talk together about the ideas behind our work, and that's never boring."

4. Individual Progress

MathRiders constructs personalised study programs for each student, based on individual evaluation and monitoring of students' progress. These programs form a crucial part of each lesson. Read more about how MathRiders helps every student to progress - individual progress program.
